Verse 34: ExpeditionA Chapter by Glen Yumang ManeseExpedition Sails of
her ship are still close by in the distance. Watching
is the deep darkness of her eyes looking intently at mine. Until,
sun was the iris calling no more to this departure of ours. World is
for the taking and her expedition has just begun to set. Turn my
back gazing at the new moon staring at me like a beacon. Does the
path of each ones history come full circle in due time? Planted
seeds grow to becoming a crop of fields in a harvest. Distributed
for all to take and eat from the labor of such bounty. Sharing
are the bread and water of this life-giving necessity to move on. Errors of
life have thought me there is only one mistake. In giving
up time for this earth cares not, but spins continuously. One man
has walked miles on the land searching. One woman
has sailed nautical on the drift submerging. Meeting
and finding life is much the same from region to region. Just to
exalt that finding the truth is not far from eye’s view. Youth is
a vigorous vein that demands more and more with exploration. Growth
teaches this is not the case to wander too far from beginning. Roads
made to get one from one destination to another. Ocean is
a therapeutic body not meant to be at peace at all times. Both
occupy one space to merge the land of mine and liquid of you. © 2016 Glen Yumang Manese |
