Yes, an “immeasurable unit“. There's no algorithm for a Psychological Mood such as love, as it is all brain chemistry. Those who lack the brain chemistry for this mood haven't a clue. Love is the domain of Psychology, not Philosophy.

How may we express what "pain" to someone who hasn't the brain chemistry to ever experience it? Pain is just another mood akin to any other mood. A mood term without a common psychological referent is meaningless. Brain chemistry is destiny. A mood is more or less a chemical synergy where its sum is greater than its parts. Listing parts tells us nothing about their combination. Man is a synergy. An atom of hydrogen is a synergy. Language has its limits when it comes to synergies.
