I Won't Be Gone

I Won't Be Gone

A Poem by Glarthir

Whisper sweet nothing's in my ear,
The kind I knew you always want to.
Quickly inditing me in.
Time and space, you said you wanted.
Never knew you were a physicist.

Today you said...and you sounded sober.
At least I'll start to age slower.
You fed the ego with the s**t that you fear
This time, I know I won't be wrong.
But don't count me out until I get the last word in.

Your scrapes lace the floor like self indulgent nonsense.
Need a breathe from the living, the breathing.
Something to believe in, won't close my eyes.
Sleeplessly, my reply.
I can't close my eyes.

No need to tell me what you're always wanting
I think it's too obvious
