Frost

Frost

A Poem by Glarthir

Crunching softly, the snow disappears into nothingness.
All this beauty surrounds us, it's breath taking.
I gaze upon a streetlight,
It illuminates the white heaven falling upon us.
It's only you and I out here in the cold
Yet it feels so warm with you.
It'll lead us while we stand behind the veil
Of the white whispers the wind creates.

Lives changes, things die and things grow anew.
It's like that way with us, so it's okay.
I'll always remember those nights.
The snow whispers to the people below
As it wraps the city in itself.
It'll always be a reminder of what was
But I hold no remorse, no shame.
The sun shines, the flakes shimmer.
They land, and they just become part of the earth once more.
