Kaleidoscope of Color

As I see my little girl playing in her Turquoise room with Pink & Lavender everywhere.
She is so small, on the edge of 5yrs, so sweet & pure.
She wants to give hugs & give kisses to anyone who shows her kindness
She twirls around in her Princess dress unaware of the Dangers of the world.

I swirl in a kaleidoscope of color standing in her room knowing of innocense lossed.
I would sooner give my life then to see her heart hurt the way mine does.
My soul screams to keep her safe from those who hide behind their Masks of kindness.
Those whose intentions are not so pure or sweet.

My little boy 5 yrs older then his sister, is her super hero, protector, big brother.
He is so wise beyond his years, sweet & loving in every way.
He is on the edge of 10yrs, just now waking up to the world.
He plays adventures in his imagination, fighting the evil doers & Dangers of the world.

I swirl in a kaleidoscope of color
wanting to protect my children with every fiber of my being.
I want to fight the evil doers sending them all to a deserted planet & blow them up.
I want to hug my babies & never may they know the kind of pain a Survivor feels each day of their lives.
What I can do for my children in reality, keep them away from those who have hurt others & myself in the past.

Teach them to love, respect themselves, & each other.
Let them speak their minds, to believe them when they speak, & to watch with Eagle's eye.
Let them know the Dangers of the world without fear.
Let them be kids, playing in their imaginations, & twirling in their Princess dress.

I swirl in a kaleidoscope of color, Healing, Surviving for mine & my childrens sake.
I teach myself to be strong, that it is ok to grieve, & to acknowledge the insanity of it all.
I peel the layers of the onion back bit by bit, & let the tears flow.
I play in my imagination, & twirl around in my Princess dress in my Kaleidoscope of color.
