Innocence

Innocence

A Poem by Girl on Mars

My words put you at a loss for
words because they don't quite suit my eyes.
Flies
In those honey pots
of mine.
But I've got
such a flame in the soles
of the feet
of my soul
to pull at
the corners
of the sheets
of your skin.
With my skin.
With my naked, marble skin.
They are merely words that
can't mask the smell of
innocence.
