The Girl Who Hated Maps

The Girl Who Hated Maps

A Poem by Girl on Mars
"

What it feels like to be in love with someone who lives in another country

"
Lines and lines of wind-dancing trees
and curling waves separating.
He's the most beloved in a faraway room,
with eyes fit for the sea.
He's the most beloved in the four walls of my mind,
but he lives beyond that sea.
I burn maps in his honor
so the smokey night reminds him of me.

Great title with super surreal lines of romance mapped onto it.

Not only have you got exactly what it takes, but you hit the nail squarely on the head with this one. A delightful read. Cheers G on M
