Oh there are so many lines, that are so brilliant in this one Sarah, great metaphorical insight, and creativity. This write tells me, it's about love, and love that is too late, or not worth it to hang as beautiful in this gallery, but maybe better, because, all that hangs there, isn't private... and sometimes, a silence between two, can make things much better... again a write that makes you think, and ponder, loved reading it.

"a noun searching for his lost adjective" what a line. I love your writing Sarah...Since you brought up "lost in the disorder of not knowing"...I was reminded of a beautiful line from a song in my mother tongue which translates to "Even inside this trash-filled, black-and-white city of lies, you and I have red and blue companionship." :)
Hmm. well I 've seen some of the so called gallery quality art and it truly is ..."in the eye of the beholder"...but you meant that as the focus anyway....if it illiciates a visceral response in Me ...I believe it to be "Quality"....But of course I like your alagories...full of yummy soft centered Christmas Caramels?
romantic love… always propelling itself forwards to find completion in another. You did a great job of describing that slightly disillusioned, uncertain feeling that sometimes pervades us in a relationship that feels less than what we'd like it to be.
If life mimics art then love mimics nature And we are all fooling ourselves as to love as opposed to just a matter of nature fooling us to perpetuate the species
Box it package it label it envy it - we all do it. Who the hell knows? Enjoy it while you can. An effective reflection on love, with good style, timing, and word usage.
:: an interesting piece of writing that articulates an interesting perspective... personally, i think the quality of love remains the same... irrespective of who loves and who is loved... but i could be wrong... i don't know for sure...
" we are better like this
lost in the disorder of not knowing
because the alternative would jar us
into a sharp realization that life mimics art
and maybe our art
just isn’t gallery quality". I love these lines. i feel like this poem describes what it means to be in love with another artist. Oscar Wilde, one of my favorite poets, said that Life imitates Art. And tis is true. Great work :)
