EchoesA Poem by Girl Friday (Sarah W.)we
stood inside of possibility, as
mirrored beings gazing into familiar eyes, waiting for the right moment to
shake the sable sky with our offenseless hands, to
unlock the stars from their divine bonds and
it happened when we touched, a
simple skimming of flesh that brimmed electric and we became
the ash of our ancestry, the
sublime culmination of what had been, colliding as wave upon cliff, until
our animation was abruptly defined by
the tender blooms of Jasmine smiling
wide beneath a Huntress Moon delicate and small, as
the beads of night-mist sheltering our
shoulders and crowing our wilting hair we
knew the meaning of us in our connection to dust, in
the sloshing of water beneath our skin, because
we are more the same than
we are different duplicate beings from the perspective of paradise © 2013 Girl Friday (Sarah W.)Reviews
