I don't know how you do it my friend...a fractured cup of inexhaustible imagery...that could very well be the thesis statement of your entire catalogue...the uniqueness with which you see the world is impeccable...I'm in awe...

I'm always fascinated by the different views of my work; some love it, some hate it, but that is the nature of the writing world, I suppose. I'm too fragile sometimes, I think, and reviews like yours make me keep wanting to pick up the pen again and again :)

You are phenomenally gifted. Such a seamless blend of creative imagery, flow and inexorable logic. The theme has been laid out and developed, laced with gorgeous similes and metaphors. Each stanza is self contained, and transports the reader to a different scene every time...compelling us to view the world through your eyes. And it culminates in a beautiful couplet. I especially loved the phrase "healing salve applied liberally". This poem of yours was a salve for me too, after coming back from a long day's work. It embodies the choicest ingredients of modern poetry. Wonderfully penned!

I'm so glad you enjoyed this one, my friend. You really made my night with your review :)
There is an existence within us - of sense and perception, timing and intent. The aftertaste of imagery and the combination of tones and structure add to the desire of each listener to follow the poet's lead. The first lines of each drew me in (I soooo agreed) and had me taste the second. Some words - visualizations, just would not roll off the tongue for me in smooth continuous tones and that break hurt my wanting to continue. I found my mind placing lighter tones of similar words and continuing the flow within my perception of your intent. Not fair by any means but it wasn't intended - just automatic. I liked what you said...and in the listening agreed, but I don't really know how another would accept and subsequently want to reread this again. I read it three times before writing a word.
you definitely have that...it just keeps coming. always new, always uniquely you.

From those midnight musings to the salve that you heal us with, your words are very definately poetry, Sarah. I find myself slowing down when I read your work, to discover and to savor your carefully chosen words. Each one is there to create an image or a feeling inside of your reader. You have a firm grasp on that and I am so happy that you do. Another well done piece. Angi~

That means so very much, Angi...you humble me greatly. Thank you so very much!
As a fellow writer, I definitely know the feeling of having writing not just be an expression but also a seemingly innate trait I must go through with. Excellent work Sarah! Your prose are stunning as always, your imagery stark and beautiful, your style as good as ever. Keep it up!
I can see the alphabet spring, that bubbles up formless and clear inside your mind that shapes in carving creativity the words that spark wonder upon your pages. Your thoughtful insight is a tapestry to hang upon the walls of the home as well as the heart of the poet. A fine write, composed of artistry and honesty alike.

You, my friend, are an inspiration to wanna-be poets like myself. You have amazing metaphors in this write and some stunning lines.
"There is poetry within me --
as I tip the kettle and pour my morning brew
into a fractured cup of inexhaustible imagery,
cream spinning like a pin-wheel of simile,"
-- Amazing stanza, Sarah - I can't tell you how amazing it is to read your works.
