Walking Through Patience Park at DuskA Poem by Girl Friday (Sarah W.)from
the bleached bone groves shedding
white bark naked stems
of rebirth scratching an impressionist’s sky to
the stream wound like a spindle licking
her sides for enough years to
carve a new path through moss-coated stone in
my dreams I see this place as clearly as
I do this day sight without mortal
eyes peering
through the cellular kaleidoscope of sun-to-earth matrimony it
is here where seed waxes to flower where
nectar hoarders build hives in
crooked boughs this is where it all
begins from
caterpillar to chrysalis and finally wet
fingers of probing radiance erupting from
protected places venturing into a changed world © 2013 Girl Friday (Sarah W.)Reviews
