Am I capable of love?

Are we all capable of love?

How can we be?

I desire to love
And love completely.
It fuels my very soul
And yet I do not feel
As it has always been foretold.

So do I love?
Have I ever drank,
From such sweet nectar?

Those I love
Are dead and buried.
They can't return my call.
I sing to them all the same
But silence is all that comes.

To love the living
With the remnants of a heart
Is a difficult task indeed.
Is it worth the pain,
The struggle and labour?
Or can I no longer love at all?
