Visit to the Past

Visit to the Past

A Poem by Kenzi Griffin

I go there very often,
If only for just a minute.
As long as I get that special feeling,
I'll stay there all day.

Our very first kiss
still fresh in my mind.
Always present,
Never leaving.

My arms ache to hold you,
My heart yearns to be yours.
But it is all in the past.
The place I visit often.

I would live in the past,
If it meant being able to have the feeling back,
The feeling of being in your arms once more.
I miss it dearly.
