Feeling

Feeling

A Poem by Kenzi Griffin

I look at the trees flashing by

And then up at the great blue sky

At which, in a few minutes, would turn grey,

And stay that way.

There's always a reason

For this type of season.

When it's pouring down rain

And it's the worst time for pain.

Rain splatters against the car

I know I'll have to jump over the bar

Blocking my path of life,

Knowing there will always be more strife.

I feel the tears

Facing my fears

Without a doubt

There's always a way out.

I look over at you

And as if on cue,

At me you smile

And make my heart skip a mile.

There is a part

For you in my heart.

Just give it some time

To hear the bells of my heart chime.

Just wait,

Don't be late

I'll be there for you.

Won't you be there for me, too?

I'm yours forever

Never ever say never.

Deep down in my heart,

For you is a part.

I look over at you

And as if on cue,

You glance at me,

And I say, "I'm yours, can't you see?"

Just then, I knew,

I had fell for you.

I care what happens now and then...

Especially if we're together in the end.
