Wishing Myself Away

Wishing Myself Away

A Poem by Kenzi Griffin

Fighting the tears

Making it through the day

Wishing with all my heart

I could just go away

Disappear into space

Leave all the pain behind

But it won't happen

Because that would be a miracle

And miracles are too rare

To happen to me

Or at least I thought so

Till I met you

But I'm not so sure now

Too scared to think

Wishing myself away

Into invisibility.
