What Shall We Say Then?

What Shall We Say Then?

A Poem by Himaya Ka
"

One day, you'll never be the same.

"
WHAT SHALL WE SAY THEN?

With prayer you begin
A heart that is broken
Asking again and again
Wondering until when

For perfection you cry
But old nature you can't deny
No matter how hard you try
Oh, tears that will never dry!

What shall we say then
If you still see it happen
If you still feel it often
What does it mean

Does it mean enough praying
Would it mean cease trying
Should it mean stop seeking
Could it mean halt everything

Jesus is the answer
Every drop of your tear
He's making you over
So don't give up in prayer

He knows your frame
He is not here to blame
He understands your shame
One day you'll never be the same

He hears when you lament
To you He's not impatient
His grace for you is sufficient
Cling to Him moment by moment

Romans 7:24-25
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

I appreciate the evangelical purpose of the poem. It's always nice to make an image more relatable and how Jesus takes a part in it. Cheers!
