Just Drop It

JUST DROP IT

A scorner is a scorner

you can’t go anywhere

no matter how you explain

to his place he chose to remain

believing no one

better than everyone

a specialist of argument

a lover of debate

there’s no way to win

it’s hardened within

no way to penetrate

to stay is a waste

A fire should not be lit

Just drop it

you’re meant to shine

no, not to whine

you can’t show the light

if you’re there to fight

your duty is to declare

the gospel you should share

to speak the truth in love

the will of the Father above

if they don’t believe

then quietly leave

Just move forward

stop trying so hard

time to go away

to that place don’t stay

someone down the road

waiting to behold

ready to listen

with a heart widely open

go ahead in haste

before it’s too late

this thirsty and hungry soul

others may come to foul
