LIFE IS UNFAIR

I know a man

He was chosen to lead

For he’s a man of character

Full of wisdom

Knowledge and understanding

He was a man full of faith

He showed power to everyone

He did wonders

He performed miracles

Yes, he did them all

He’s not a menace

No record of delinquency

A person of reputation

But do you know what happened to him

Everything he did just brought him to judgment

Accused of something he did not do

Brought into court without a reasonable case

Stood before the jury without a lawyer

Found guilty with such an unfair trial

Stoned to death for the crime he didn’t commit

Why was he stoned to death

What did he do to deserve this

Why did he experience such cruelty

He wasn’t mean to anybody

But they killed him without mercy

He didn’t do anything wrong

He just told the wondrous story of old

A promising story of fruitfulness

A story of great deliverance

And a story of hope

Life is unfair, right?

Yes, it is!

So, what’s the point of doing or being good?

Does it make any difference?

Yes, it does!

If you know who Jesus is

The King of kings and Lord of lords

The creator and the giver of life

The lover of every man’s soul

The Savior of all

If you know what matters to him

To seek and to save that which was lost

For the gospel to be spread to all mankind

To prepare every human

For the judgment day to come

If you remember what he said before he left

He said don’t be shocked

In this life you’ll have tribulations

If I suffered

Then surely you will

But if you keep in heart his wonderful promises

Oh, the eternal peace, joy, and perfection to those who believe

And the wrath of his judgment for those who reject

The unquenchable lake of fire without ending

Yes, everyone will be fairly judged by the just God

So, let’s keep the faith

It may lead us to death

Yet don’t be discouraged

For life is not about how long we live

But how well we live for His purpose and glory

Acts 7:49-60

49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

50 Hath not my hand made all these things? 51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. 52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: 53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. 54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. 57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. 59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. 60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
