Please Give Me Your HeartA Poem by Himaya KaIf you’ll ask me if I want to explode, yes, I do. I could have destroyed them all if I were you.PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR HEART To retaliate is human When no wrong was done And you’re not hurting anyone Yet you’re accused as a foolish man Just because you’re so good For the miracles they came to behold All the truth that you have told And all the rebukes that you’ve been so bold They stoned you with their blasphemous words Challenged you with their humiliating insults They gave you enough or numerous reasons To fight for yourself against their actions But you remained quiet and calm For you know where you came from No need to wrestle for the present kingdom For your throne is still yet to come When I think about what you’ve been through Imagining the faces of those people who mocked
you If you’ll ask me if I want to explode, yes,
I do I could have destroyed them all if I were
you Knowing who you are and where you came from The creator of all and the God of all wisdom Knowing your intention for leaving your
kingdom To mistreat you harshly was such a damn It’s a good thing that you’re not me For if you are it’s gonna be crazy And I will never be here today Enjoying your bountiful mercy This knowledge I have about you Prompts me to desire to be more like you Teach me how to respond the way you do Let me hold my peace whatever I go through You alone can make these things possible For without you I could do nothing at all To rejection, insult, and shame I am so
vulnerable Please be there to catch me when I fall Help me to see each person according to your
lens Enable me to love everyone without
expectations Please give me your heart for all the lost souls And allow me to accept whatever your will is DAILY IN THE WORD June 28, 2021 John 18:10-11
& 19:7-9 10 Then
Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and
cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. 11 Then said Jesus
unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath
given me, shall I not drink it? 7 The Jews
answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made
himself the Son of God. 8 When
Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid; 9 And went
again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus
gave him no answer. © 2021 Himaya Ka |
