THE REVOLUTION

Not the person I thought
Not the character I saw
Not the heart I pondered
Not the mind I understood

The more I go near
The more I listen
The more I communicate
The more I experience

O the shadow of darkness
O the taste of bitterness
O the smell of rottenness
O the feeling of numbness

In silence the covered pride
In muteness the secret argument
In passivity the hidden rebellion
In stillness the inner revolution

Yes I witnessed all of these
Yes the feeling is negative
Yes the heart is discouraged
Yes the mind says "Go away!"

But another voice says "No!"
But words cannot be deleted
But this sound of faith is so loud
But hope keeps on shinning

The desire to serve
The longing to help
The dream to support
The affection to comfort

It won't go away
It demands to stay
It says to understand
It drives to keep going
