The Chosen DevilA Story by Himaya KaJust because a person goes to church, sing in the choir, hold a certain position in the ministry, doesn't mean that he is not a devil.THE CHOSEN DEVIL Daily In The Word Day 6 John 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? Just because a person goes to church, sing in the choir, hold a certain position in the ministry, doesn't mean that he is not a devil. How many Christian believers decided to give up their membership and loyalty to their church simply because they stumbled against their so called fellow believers? Sometimes it's very easy for us to question the choices or decisions made by our Pastor when they turned out to be failing in the end. That should not be our attitude. Instead of blaming and pointing our fingers to anyone, we have to ask ourselves first, have we prayed for our church, the leaders, most especially our Pastor? If not, then back off, put down those fingers and let's bend our knees together; then, let's hold our peace right after we pray, believing that God will put everything into its place as He will it. But let's say, you prayed, yet deception and betrayal still take place, would it give us the permission to express all our frustrations whatever we think or feel? I think not. If we study the experience of Jesus with Judas Iscariot, there's not a chance that He regretted the day when He decided to choose Judas to be one of His disciples. He did not consider Himself a failure for having Judas in the team, instead He saw it as a great success, why? It's very simple, he brought the fulfillment of the prophecy. So what really matters here? For me, it's the word, purpose. If we know that we prayed, and we continue to pray, let us trust that whatever God allows to happen, whether it's good or bad, let's take it as His answer to our prayers for His very own reasons and purposes why He allows what He allows things to happen this way or that way. Instead of grumbling and fisting the air, go somewhere where you can think properly, pray silently, and ask politely God's purpose for everything. However, if we don't get an answer right away, it means God is telling us, just trust Me. I know where you are, and I see what's happening, let Me handle everything. Then move on! Enough of overthinking. Just because betrayal occurred doesn't mean that you're not with the right person and in the right place. In betrayal, our heart is tested. It's an opportunity for us to know who we really are, and what we are capable of doing. Here, we experience the amazing grace and unconditional love of God. We discover a lot of things about ourselves. We see how we respond to every situation, and we find out our weaknesses, therefore we are humbled and we beg for God's grace and love to reign in our heart instead of hate. The lessons we learn from this painful betrayal will make us a better version of ourselves. It's gonna be a good training for us how to disciple others in the way God wants us to be. So instead of getting bitter, choose to feel better. LET'S PRAY! Dear God, It is only by Your grace and mercy that we can choose to feel better instead of being bitter. Thank You for the divine love that You've shown and given to us. Forgive us Lord for the times that we retaliate against those who hurt us. Please cover us with Your precious blood and let Your divine love be the source of power and strength so that we can continue loving the unlovable no matter what. Remind us dear LORD to always think about Your purpose in every circumstance that we face. Give us Your grace to be grateful in everything, for this is what pleases You most. Make us trust You more and more each day. These things we ask and pray in Jesus name. Amen!
