I Have No ManA Story by Himaya KaUntil one day, that perfect man came.I HAVE NO MAN Daily In The Word Day 5 John 5: 5-9a 5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: Putting my feet to this man's shoes is unimaginable. Lying down on that old nasty bed for years is even inconceivable. How much more when you are thronged with those ruthless steps in your desperate, miserable, and hopeless condition. Undoubtedly, I would say, the life of that man was truly unfair! Yes, it was. And maybe, if I was that man, I could have prayed not for healing but for my death. Come to think of it, living your life for thirty and eight years without standing, walking, leaping, and jumping, is terrible! But how on earth that man was able to survive? How was that made possible? It's unbelievable, right! But it happened. I believe that what made him thrive beyond his circumstances was the power of that little hope in his heart: the miraculous troubled water of the pool, which he did not see, yet he believed on it based on what he heard from those feet which mercilessly trampled him down everytime the water is troubled. It's so sad to think that everytime he hears the troubled water, which is his hope, that very time also means a great affliction for him just to be in that place. I can't imagine how selfish people were at that time. Why they didn't give way, even once. It's cruelty. He had no one to show mercy to him. Have you tried saying to yourself "I have no man."? Do you still remember the feeling? I've tried. It's not easy, right! If you haven't tried it yet, just wait, for it will surely come. When people around you seemed to be insensitive, when you feel like nobody cares, you can't help but to wallow yourself in self-pity, which is very normal as human being but we should not allow it to dominate and ruin our lives for good. We have to hold fast, and continue to be expectant that one day, something good will happen, just like what the man experienced in this story. Though he was very sad in his situation, but we can't read in the story that he murmured, complained and cursed those people who stepped on him. He waited with perseverance. Until one day, that perfect man came, His name was Jesus. Though he did not ask for Jesus to help him, but Jesus found him, looked down on him with love and with so much compassion and empathy. JESUS WAS THE MAN that he was waiting for. Yes, Jesus cares. All we need to do so that we could experience His healing power is to believe in our heart that He cares, He loves, and He is more than willing to help us in our infirmities. So what are you waiting for? Come to Jesus! Call unto His name and be saved from whatever difficult situations you are in right now. LET'S PRAY! Dear God, In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I come boldly into your throne of grace. Please forgive me for those times that I felt like I was alone, and not being sensitive of Your holy presence. Forgive me Lord, for the times that I think of help from people more than You; like trusting on horses and chariots instead of trusting Your powerful name. Please cover me with Your precious blood and create in me a clean heart. A heart whose trust and hope is You alone. Thank you for being THE MAN in my life. I can't imagine myself without You, O God. Thank You Lord for the wisdom that You enabled me to accept that though life is not really fair on this earth, but life is not about the earth, it's about You who created all things, Who is preparing something great and awesome in eternity. Dear God, please help me to be sentitive to other people's need, and enable me to respond to their need as You lead the way. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
