Daily In The Word Day 4

John 4:34

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work.

It's almost two years now since I stopped eating breakfast. It started when I decided to do some fasting on my birth month. After I fasted, things went to normal, I took breakfast everyday, but something happened with my stomach. I noticed that after I took breakfast, an hour later I was hungry again, and I hated it. I was wondering why. Surprisingly, I noticed that everytime I skip breakfast, my tummy wasn't that demanding, I was okay until lunch time. So that was the beggining of my NO BREAKFAST story. 

If there is something that I love about this no breakfast story is, instead of waking up early to prepare for meal , I use it to spend more time with God. It's a wonderful experience for me, because I don't need to hurry with my Bible reading and prayer time. I have enough time to let my imagination fly anywhere with Jesus. Spending time with Him is so refreshing and comforting. 

Every Saturday morning, it's my me time with Jesus. It's a Sabbath day indeed. I'm satisfied with my aloneness with Him. I don't feel hungry, and I feel so fine with it. Though a lot of people doubted my intentions about it, but it's okay, I respect thier opinion and I don't have to convince them to believe me. Who cares! What matters to me is I know  I am surviving joyfully and peacefully. God is happy; I'm happy; we are enjoying our time together. 

I praise and thank the LORD for allowing me to know Him as my LORD and personal Saviour, I can't imagine myself without Him. In a world where the measure of success and happiness is according to your bank account, social status and political influences, I could have gone crazy about my life, but glory to Jesus for I know that's not what life really is. To live and to die for Him is the end of all miseries. Knowing Christ is more than enough. Having His hope in my heart is what keeps me going; and seeing how the LORD accomplishes His will and purpose in my life makes me feel satisfied.

Dear God,

Today, I just want to praise You for giving me life. Thank You for saving my soul from hell. Truly, I can't imagine myself without You, O God. Human as I am, I know there are times that negativity just attack without permission. And being in this sinful flesh, I know that there are times that this laziness in me wants to dominate. Please forgive me for those times that I did not use every moment of my life wisely. Remind me dear God that I have to number my days so that I could apply my heart unto wisdom. Enable me LORD JESUS to do and perform Your perfect will and purpose for my life. Give me Your heart for the lost, and give me the courage to pursue them as You lead the way. These things I ask and pray in Jesus name. Amen!
