The Mockery of Entitlement

The Mockery of Entitlement

A Poem by Himaya Ka
"

What a shameful claim!

"
THE MOCKERY OF ENTITLEMENT

Too much expectations
Too high and stiff-necked
"Too long I've been here,
I served more than them."

What a shameful claim
"I should receive better,
Greater things I deserve."
The mockery of entitlement

Look what it gives you
Ridiculous you look
It's embarrassing you know
How foolish you appear

Peace from you is stolen
Miserable you become
Unhappy and discontent
Entitlement kicks you out

Let go of your claims
Be happy for others
Not yet too late my friend
Release that grip of entitlement

(Matthew 20:1-16)
