It's Okay To Be RejectedA Story by Himaya KaDaily In The Word Day 1DAILY IN THE WORD DAY 1 IT'S OKAY TO BE REJECTED John
1:10-11 10 He
was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He
came unto his own, and his own received him not. There are times that no matter how good our motives or intentions are, but still people won't appreciate it. If this happens we have the chance or the tendency to be ill or worst, turn bitter towards them. Something that proves our immaturity as a person, most especially as a child of God. That's why it's very important to study the life of Christ because it's the only way that we can learn how to respond in every situation whether it appears good or not. Rejection is one of the most painful experiences that we can get from others. It's unavoidable, no one is exempted. If the Lord Jesus Christ, who created everyone and all things didn't escape from this emotional turmoil, how much more us? It's okay to be rejected, it's part of being human and being alive. But it's very important that we know how to face this kind of emotional harassment. We should not baby our feelings, we should refuse to dwell on this negative thoughts and feelings. Jesus understood why people responded that way to Him. He knew that the problem was not Him but them. He knew who He said He was, and it did not bother Him if people did not believe on Him. He did not try to prove Himself, beg people to follow Him or raised His voice to convince them to accept Him. He was just silent, and continue to do His mission or purpose why He came: to seek and to save that which was lost. So if you have been asking yourself why people are rejecting you, and you are tempted to think that maybe there's something wrong with you, take a pause, and remember who you really are in Christ. Your value does not depend on how others treat you; you are worth fighting and dying for: Jesus did it for you. If people did not see you that way, just understand them, for they themselves are victims of certain rejections: Hurting people, hurt people. So instead of getting bitter, ask the LORD to give you wisdom how to help them feel better about themselves. LET'S PRAY! Dear God, You know what's happening in my heart right now. You know if I'm bitter or not. Please search my heart and make it right. I'm sorry if I did not respond according to your expectations as your child. Please give me the grace to understand people why they are treating me that way. Help me to see their need more than mine. Give me your heart for them, and enable me to love them just the way you love me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
