Destiny

A Poem by Himaya Ka

He who is the authority, he is the final say.

DESTINY

Cut like a knife
Burn like a fire
Wound in a vinegar
What can ease the pain

Helpless without clue
Breathing without air
Wanting to run
But no feet to stand

This is the day
The enemy's victory
Is it, maybe it is
But no it's not

In darkness a light
In failure a lesson
The miracle of healing
Only found in pain

Hold on, just hold on
Cry if you must
But smile and be strong
Continue to be steadfast

It's not the end
Nor the final destiny
He who is the authority
He is the final say

It's not yet there my friend
The battle is not yet over
If you got the guts
Get the bat and hit the ball

Stand where you should be
Hold what's necessary
If you're the last player to play
Keep playing until it's over

If blessed to get a strike
Run, just run so fast
Keep looking forward
Run, run for the home run!

It's not about who wins
It's commitment my friend
Destined to finish the race
No quitting nor turning back
