PLEASE HEAR OUR PRAYERA Poem by Himaya KaI don't know if my prayer is so selfish but I know this is also her wish.
PLEASE HEAR OUR PRAYER
In the twelfth day of the eleventh month A simple celebration of someone's birth Yet a stunning sunshine deep within was felt A blissful happy noon full and complete Each one in that roof has a story to tell Who woudn't when you're set free from a shell Just an observant but was glad to listen Satisfied to stay in the world I was in Few hours later exchanging of goodbyes Just before I left capturing a bad news "Did you hear about Ma'am Bevs?" Attacked with an aggressive illness My oh my what a sad story to bring Alone in the room, can't stop thinking No tears to flow, catching the air All good memories I begin to hear Counting with my fingers she's one of the few If not the first yet not the last I knew Someone who loves me unquestionably Someone who believes on me with all sincerity Remembering my last visit in her office Never missed to offer me some cookies Feeling exhausted I went to her and rest Busy as she was, she wanted me to sit Now she's fighting for her life And I'm praying for her to survive I don't know if my prayer is so selfish But I know this is also her wish This is what she whispered This is what she said She wants to live for Jesus She wants to live in kindness Though I understand the struggle Those people with her in this battle But I know God's strength for them is enough I know God is fighting in their behalf Lately I don't hear any updates or any news Daily I'm scared to hear from some fellows Please enough of bad stories to hear Dear LORD, please hear our prayer! © 2021 Himaya Ka |
