The Magnifying Glass of Christmas

The Magnifying Glass of Christmas

A Poem by Himaya Ka
"

Nothing can take the place of the King

"
THE MAGNIFYING GLASS OF CHRISTMAS

The shining Christmas tree
The colorful gifts beneath
The excited twinkling eyes
The expectation of every child

Variety of food on the table
Salty, spicy, sweet and sour
Cold black and white drinks
Brown, yellowish and violet cakes

The smiles in every face
The giggling sound of hearts
The popping words of "Thank you!"
The shy expression of "I love you"

Multiple hugs and cuddles
Playful fingers that tickles
Overwhelming laughters
Capturing the joyous jokes

This very long day and night
Truly one of the greatest gift
But there's one thing I realized
Everything did not satisfy

All those wonderful experiences
The magnifying glass of Christmas
Things are now clearly seen
Nothing can take the place of the King

So I went back to Him
Praising Him for everything
Truly each one is amazing
Yet He alone quenches all the longing
