I Thought I Am, But I'm Not

I Thought I Am, But I'm Not

A Poem by Himaya Ka
"

Feeling like a kite in the night Waiting on the wind for the flight

"
I THOUGHT I AM, BUT I'M NOT

Melted to be molded
Created to be lighted
Ignited to be guided
Those who are blinded

To shine is the purpose
To give light is the use
To enlighten is the focus
But they choose to refuse

Kept in the plastic
Hidden in the attic
Chained by the critic
Detained like a lunatic

I thought I am a light
But I'm not in their sight
Feeling like a kite in the night
Waiting for the wind to blow for a flight

(Inspired by Jeremiah the Prophet)
