YOU ARE THE LILY, I AM THE VALLEY
Not the ultimate goal Undesired by every sole No one likes to linger Everyone wants to leave With wide opened arms Everybody is welcomed No gesture of excitement Each one arrives exhausted Though weary and wounded Nobody likes to halt and rest "Get me out of here!" That's what they said Not a good place to situate No shadow of light but darkness Scary, lonely, and unsafe Not a venue to celebrate Not having Your eyes They are blinded Not looking beyond the surface A shallow perspective For in Your thoughts I am the best place To grow and to cultivate Before an abundant harvest Oh please let them see What You've seen in me Open their eyes of Thy beauty A lovely Lily in the valley You are the Lily I am the valley Ugly in the sight of many But You chose to stick on me © 2020 Himaya Ka |
