The Anchor Holds

The Anchor Holds

A Poem by Himaya Ka
"

Stop wrestling my friend, to let go and to hold is not yours to choose.

"
THE ANCHOR HOLDS

Life is a journey
Not a destination
Numerous unknowns
Undesired revelations

 Sailing, O yes, it's sailing
 Not looking without
Not seeing it's moving
But you know it's sailing

Sleep, sleep thou, O passenger
Staring at the ocean
The voyage won't be hastened
Rest, rest thou at the cabin

Close your eyes
Stop thinking
 If you dream
Enjoy the thrill

 But don't be stuck
To reality be back
Wash your face
Forget about it

Let the wind blow it out
Let the waves vomit it up
But if it lingers then consider
The Anchor holds

Stop wrestling thou pilgrim
To let go and to hold
 It's not yours to choose
This is the journey of life

 A walk to remember
 A lesson to learn
 A footprint to leave
 For those behind you

Trust thou, O traveler
It's the Captain who knows
Just stay in the boat
Remember the goal
