The Mocking GiantsA Poem by Himaya KaHe is a Christian who happens to be a politician.THE MOCKING GIANTS (Psalm 119:121-128) His judgment was fair enough. His ears did listen to every cause. Your tender mercy was also shown. Your word was shared with passion. But now he is condemned and stoned, Blasphemed, humiliated, and ridiculed, Yet he remained calm and humble, Deliver him dear God from such oppression! O how I wish I could defend him! But I am just an ordinary person, To speak for him is just a waste, All the mocking giants are hard to tame. To stone them back will never help, For this is not Your way of facing the battle. Just help him LORD and make him strong. Let him feel Your peace in the midst of storm. He is a Christian who happens to be a politician. He believes that in every season there is a time. People are suffering hunger, death, and illnesses. So this time is not a time to condemn but to be merciful; Not a time to be hateful but to show compassion; But the mocking giants could not get what he understands, For Your Spirit is not living within them. So Father please, it's time for You to work, Open the ears of the deaf and the eyes of the blind. Let them see their own imperfections and nothingness. Show to them their own corruptness and wickedness. Let them know that they too need to be forgiven. Make them come to You with a heart ready to humble. You alone can heal every wound of our nation. Be pleased O LORD to unite Your people! © 2020 Himaya Ka |
