FRUITS BEHIND THE RAINBOW

Psalm 113:9
He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.

I was on my way home when I met one of the parents in school where I am currently teaching. She happened to be the sister of one of my closest co-teachers before. It was her who noticed me first, then, she called my name, "Ms. Glory!". I was surprised why she's in our place, then she explained about her office got transferred in our location. We exchanged with our "How are yous?" to each other, then, I told her how blessed she is for having her 3 lovely half-Korean children. Then she replied, "Yes I am, but you are more blessed than me." I did not expect her to say that. Of course! How could she say that I am more blessed than her knowing that I don't have children for I am not married. But she continued speaking, "You know what Ms. Glory, I got jealous with you, for I know that one day, there will be lots of children running to meet you in heaven. My kids told me that it was you who introduced JESUS to them as LORD and the only Savior of their soul. Yes, they accepted Christ in their heart during your class, and I am sure that they are just few of them who heard the love of God through you. You are their mother too!" after speaking, she smiled. At first, I was speechless. When my senses returned to me, I uttered a typical spiritual cliche, "Praise God, only by God's grace!" But deep in my heart, I felt humbled to hear everything she said, and ashamed to God at the same time. Sometimes, when we fail to remember what matters most in life, we have the tendency to lose our sight, we tend to be ungrateful with all the opportunities God has given us.

Yes, for me it's a real privilege to be in God's service, for not everyone are blessed enough to work for Him for the furtherance of His Kingdom. Though everyone is called, but only few are chosen. I praised God for that encounter, and thanked Him for rebuking my ungrateful spirit that day. Today, I praise God for the fruits behind the rainbow! One day, I'll meet them all. What a day of rejoicing that will be! To God be all the glory!
