Please, Speak Up!

A Stage Play by Himaya Ka
"

Stop blaming others for being alone, someone cares for you, but you choose to be in that position.

"

PLEASE, SPEAK UP!

 (Characterized by teachers)

Hannah:

Hey, what took you so long to see me?  Why you did not respond to me immediately?  Is it because you are afraid of me, or you just feel so guilty? Hey look at me! I’m talking to you!

Mae:

Yes, I’m talking to you. I’m not here to scold you. I’m not here to punish you. I just want to hear from you. What I want is to understand you. So please, speak up!

Angie:

Yes, please speak up. Just tell me anything. Let me know what’s in your mind. Let me know how you are doing. Please let me know, so that I will know how to help you.

Ofelia:

Yes, I want to help you. I want to help you with your struggles. I want to help you carry the burdens in your heart. Please, don’t get me wrong. I’m not here to put you down. I’m here to help you stand!

Hannah:

Yes, I want you to stand! Stand up to do what is right. Stand up to say NO to those around you who would want you to do foolishness with them. Stand up! I believe in you! I know you can!

Mae:

Yes, you can! For you are not alone! I’m here. I’m here to support you. Let’s face it together. Just trust me. Trust me that I care for you; believe me that I love you!

Angie:

Yes, I love you! I love you because God loves you. I love you because, Jesus died for you. I love you because, you are the reason why I do exist here. So please don’t hesitate, stop doubting.

Ofelia:

Yes, please stop doubting to share with me whatever it is that bothers you. I’m not only your teacher, I’m also your adviser; and I am not only your adviser, I am also your friend; and above all, I am not only your friend, I am also your mother.

Hannah: Yes, I am your mother!

Mae: Yes, I’m your mom!

Angie: Yes, I am your mommy!

Ofelia: Yes, I am your mama!

Hannah:

Yes, we are family! Whatever hurts you also hurts me.

Mae:

If I see that you are sad. It also breaks my heart.

Angie:

When you are having a hard time, it bothers me a lot.

Ofelia:

Yes, it bothers me a lot, not because you are a burden or a problem; but I want to help you unload your heavy heart.

Hannah:

But I just can’t, if you don’t speak up.

Mae:

Yes, please speak up!

Angei:

I’m here waiting.

Ofelia:

Please, speak up!
