Our Best Offering to God, Wins the Heart of God

Genesis 4:4-5

And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

As a loving child to his parents, he has no other desire but to please and to seek the approval of his parents. There are so many children today who are not in good terms with their parents simply because no matter how they try to please their parents they did not get any applause or compliment from them. Parents tend to compare their children to one another. Though their intention is to challenge the one who perform the least to do better but the result is so devastating; it just ended up to planting bitterness in the heart of their children. But this is not the case of God. God knows exactly what each one of us could do and give back to Him. God is not expecting us to give what He has not given to us. He knows our limitations but He promised to us that He is faithful to accomplish what He has calls us to do (1 Thessalonians 5:24), yes it is Him who enables us. He knows our very best! He wants us to give back to Him what He has given to us. Much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48). If He gave His very best to us, His only Son Jesus Christ, who are we not to offer our very best to Him. If we claim that we are His children but it’s hard for us to give what He expects. Think again!
