This Is My Plea

A prayer of praise and plea of a teacher who is asking for God's direction.

This Is My Plea

 

Most gracious and loving Father,

My Lord, my Savior, and my redeemer,

I praise You for though I am a sinner,

You always hear my prayer.

 

How can I repay You for all Your goodness?

You never get tired of renewing me with Your daily forgiveness.

With Your mercy and grace I am amazed,

I want to offer to You my sacrifice of praise!

 

Oh yes, for You Oh God, I want to be the best.

To settle in mediocrity, I do not rest,

For Your faithfulness in providing my needs I am so blessed.

Oh yes, You deserve my highest praise!

 

 I know if I’ll do things my way, You are not pleased.

To be wise in my own eyes, I will be amiss.

So please lead me Lord in the path of righteousness.

Help me to accept Your corrections with meekness.

 

Oh Father God, please listen to my plea.

Help me Lord to follow Your way.

I know Your way is not always easy,

But it’s okay for I know, with You I will never go astray.

 

I do not know what’s ahead of me,

But with You, I know I don’t have to worry.

You are always in control, from fear I am set free,

For I know You already knew the beginning and the end of my story.

 

Dear Jesus, this is my very plea!

Teach me how to become a teacher that you want me to be.

Dear Lord, I know you are listening to me.

I surrender my all to You and give You all the glory!
