Mr Robot Man

Mr Robot Man

A Poem by J. David

Mr Robot Man;

The smartest man on earth,

Can process thousands of thoughts a second,

And can solve any problem,

But was born without emotion.

He can register others feelings,

And compares it in a database of hundreds,

Selecting the most likely suited response,

He wears that face like a mask,

Covering the gears and wires that hide beneath.

He has a family,

Two children and a wife who love him,

He kisses them to sleep,

And later loves his wife,

Harder than stone and stronger than steel.

He questions his existence,

Wondering what a life with emotion must be,

But lack of emotion stops him from getting upset,

So when his wife asks if he is okay,

He picks the most likely suitable response.

He hasn’t told his wife,

He knows it will destroy her,

As love is something all man crave,

So he kisses her goodnight and lies awake,

Knowing that although he can’t feel it, he is lonely.
