Ramblings

A Story by J. David
"

just jotting thoughts down

"

There is beauty in the broken hearted. It means they stood for something greater than just themselves. Cared more for something other than their own selfishness. Were willing to give more than just their time. They were willing to plant the seeds of their heart in the soil of someone else’s chest. And regardless of whether something grew from it or not, they learned none the less that the smallest failure taken is greater than the biggest idea that was never tried.

And yes it hurts. But what’s worse is that there are people who will look down upon you for trying what you couldn’t achieve. And so we must stand. Stand for something greater than other people’s judgements and expectations. Use our imagination to create an image of ourselves that we can fall in love with. And although it may not be realistic. Although it may change us into something different, at least we will become what we want to be and find that no matter where we go people will love you for it. Because happiness isn’t the whim of a dreamer. It is granted to those who are willing to let go of whatever stresses we face. Whether it be work or our studies or our relationships. If we can learn to look past that and see through the facades that resemble other people’s skin, you will begin to see that no matter how hard you may think your life is, there are others who have walked and are walking the same road you are, they are just too scared to admit it.

So be the first one to speak. Speak of loneliness and long nights. Speak of frightful dreams and sleepless nights. Because we are all looking for someone to open up to. And the amazing thing about our senses is how they all work together to allow us to understand our surroundings. And so let our ears hear your voice. Let our fingers touch your scars and our tongues taste the sweet melody that is your story. Let us hear whatever doubts lay restless in your mind and you will find that listening is a skill that all are born with.

And when they speak back to you, realize that you were the reason they could find their voice. Take joy in the fact they shared their story with you, and you will see that the relationship will be ever stronger for it, for they will realize that they too are not as alone as they first thought. And that all the adversity they fought all led to this moment where you let them shine.

Such a great message, every line so true.
Thank you for sharing this inspirational and motivational piece of writing. Also, I like the quote on your profile. From the king killer chronicle I imagine? The name of the wind is among my favourite stories.
