Pitter Patter

Pitter Patter

A Poem by J. David
"

A poem about falling for someone.

"

It's like the rain. Even on the cloudiest of days I'd still fall for you, knowing that what awaits me on the ground will be my death but it’s worth freefalling from the clouds for the slightest chance you might catch me on the tip of your tongue.

And I know there are thousands of others like me, but still I fall for you, still aim for your lips in hoping to see your smile one more time before I die. Still aim for your tongue because your name has been caught on mine.

If only you could hear me pitter-patter, the pitter-patter.

If only you could save me from the pitter-patter

If only your kiss could be on the tip of my tongue.

But then again I'm the kind of guy who believes in fairy tales, and love at first sight.

And maybe that's why that no matter the weather I’ll still keep falling for you.

If only you'd catch me.

Always tough when you know she aint coming back.
Even when you put yourself into the situation of hope.
But we still play the game of, live in hope.
Great write.
