Nice And Easy

Nice And Easy

A Poem by Gillzy
"

Is it?

"

To show someone how much you love them,
And that you'll always be there.
That you'll turn to them, and drop all for them
When they feel life's unfair.
It's nice,
And it's easy.

To show them that you care,
To wear your heart on your sleeve,
Leaving yourself open to disenchantment,
In hope of gaining dreams that you weave.
It's nice,
But it's not easy.

To disregard other people
Because it doesn't suit you.
To do things that you want
And forget about the few.
It's not nice,
But it's easy.

Getting over the fact, sometimes,
You've got to be alone.
That life's not so happy,
And it's not so simple to moan.
It's not nice,
And it's not easy.

Had to read this carefully to make sure I understood the subtle changes re: the nice/easy parts.
Once I sorted this out I agreed with your description 'Is It?' Trouble is, some people are made for life alone, some not; think it's all to do with fate and destiny. There's hope out there somewhere!

Interesting structure you have in this piece, Gillzy. Yes, sometimes life is lonely and sad, but remember these times for you cannot have summer without winter. You cannot have love without hate. You cannot have light without dark. It is the movement of the heavens that gives us pause, to reflect on our lives and what we want and what we need. You will find your happiness, my friend, and when you do, I will be pleased for you. Cheers!

Things I have realised: My mother really is the best friend I'll ever have. Too much alcohol causes some people to be something they aren't, and that includes myself. That love, no matter wha.. more..
