Just One Drop

Just One Drop

A Poem by Gillzy
"

After some heavy rainfall in the night.

"

Can you hear me falling?
Until I splash to the ground.
Do you hear me at your window?
As I pitter patter, lightly on the sill.

In different places
I make different sounds.
Do you listen
To them all?

Gloriously I worship you
From head to toe.
Refreshing you,
Renewing you.
Rebuilding you.

Then
As quickly as I appeared,
I'm gone again.
And only silence follows.
If you listen
All
You hear
Is
….. Husssssshhhh.

A chaffinch chirps.
A cricket plays.
A crow squawks.
A tree rustles.
And a song bird sings.

Do you prefer the world
With out me?
To some I am miserable.
To others I revitalise.

Is the world
Better
Or worse
Without the morning dew
On the daisies?

A real refreshing poem to read. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Who was your muse? Where did you get the inspiration from I wonder :P tee hee, just teasing.

we all need the morning dew - its a sign of the new morning, and at that moment I always feel there is a stillness in the air, as if everything is at peace for just a few moments.

Its amazing with what one little thing can do.
