Interloper?

Interloper?

A Poem by Gill Fitzpatrick
"

Not sure this belongs in the breakfast anthology

"

Let’s consider Mush….rooms

Rooms for mush?

Do they belong on a breakfast plate?

Jury’s out…. Don’t rush

Salted, peppered, buttered

They add an earthy edge

But do I want to eat a thing

That festered in a hedge?

So when it comes to mushrooms

I really am not sure

If it has its place amongst my beans

Or just the forest floor
