Unloved

Unloved

A Poem by David McNeeley

I have no love
I have no dove

None to hold
No one for to be bold

The one for me
I wonder who she could be

Does my someone exist?
Or should I my search desist

Will there be ever love for me
Will she ever be able to find me?

In the maddening crowds of lovers
Will she be able to sort me from the others?

I've never known another's love
I've never called another my dove

If she's out there
I wonder if I'll recognize her

What if she is already here?
So I wonder "where"

God help me find
The woman that I can call all mine

When that day comes
I'll know I love her by what are her crumbs
