destinyA Poem by David McNeeleyThe Future
I love you
That much is so true But now I'm feeling blue And in need of something new I wish I could just finish This bit of destiny's dish Want to love by my selfish I wish In love all The fall Be my choice That mine was the only voice When choosing you for love That I won't have to worry about any above None of That stuff with the dove I just wanna love On my own Like a leaf on the wind is blown Not in some lost glass shelf shown To follow tradition and destiny is what causes me to groan But I love you Still I do It can't be avoided though And because of that I've got another go Away from you to learn what I am and know Why it's so important to be Anything but what in my future they see © 2014 David McNeeley |
