Will you love me?

Will you love me?

A Poem by David McNeeley

Will you love me?
Or, it couldn't be
That with him you're a bit too friendly.
Your not, perhaps, to be my one and only

Will you be mine?
But if not that's not fine
Because honestly, honesty and deceit are separated by a thin line
Please if it's me you care for then give me a sign.

What kind of guy do you want?
Buff and burly or one with fifty different fonts
Is it my poems of which you'll be in want?
Or other men away from you to scare and daunt

What will we be together?
Will we last forever?
Or wish we'd never
Known what we wanted to share with each other.

Will it last?
If I this relationship test
Will it go slow or really fast?
When or if we build our nest

What happened to 'us'?
We never had an "us".

Of course think about it, is what I must.
How fast love passes by like a winds gust,
If it wasn't a world so controlled by lust,
And I could focus on your heart and not your bust.
Let us focus on what's now and not what wast.
