Intangible

Intangible

A Poem by Gillian

It is unknowable,
This silence and stillness we lie in
As we pass each night coldly,
Like we are dreaming ourselves apart.
Nothing could ever come between us
But ourselves-
Fallible flesh, soul and blood.
My thoughts of wonder
Melt into quiet tears
While I hope no love
Has been lost, or failed or fled.

So true and so sad, strong knowledge of loneliness but yet not alone. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for entering the contest.
Overall it was a nice poem, also a good read I might add.
I didn't feel moved though.
Good job and again thank you

The title pulled me in like a magnet!
It set the tone that followed through
from beginning to end. Much enjoyed!!
