Fit For A King

Fit For A King

A Poem by Gillian

I tried not wonder;

To hold on to fantasies

Of company or love

But their comfort

Was what kept me warm.

Whenever I woke

On the cold side of the bed,

I was crushed to be alone.

Wow, Nice job driving across the straight forward emotion here, the heart can feel the sadness
and with the last line that punctuated your great poem, this was a pleasure to read, thanks for sharing

Oh sweetie, so sad, a great write, but I can feel the pain, it's what poem are about feeling and emotions, not many happy ones. God Bless.
