Life Of The LightsA Poem by Gilbert SaintHeard someone singing they live a life in the "light", so I decided to let them know what my version of "light" is all about.Life
of The Lights. They
said they live a life of the lights, but I’m better off, because I serve the
owner of light. These
are not words of pride, neither are they of delight. This is the speech that
makes constitutions right, the water that flows further than insight. Ultimate
poetry, the gift so many search for day and night. They
say they live a life of the lights. Full
of pleasure, cars, drinks, everything that shines and blitz. I
live a life in the light, full of blessings that come in bits; theirs is a life
that shatters Christ’s beliefs, mine is a journey that ends in joy eternity. They
say they live a life of the light. I
wonder why they roam the streets stealing souls at night. I
wonder whether their perception of light is bright, or is it filled of metal,
that will waste away with rust and blight. When
will they adjust their mentality to fit the original design? Till
when will they live in a dream of prosperity? When will they wake up and join
us in Christ’s reality? I
live a life in the light. He
who died, with the Father, made me right. He
gave me life, the chance to write these rhymes, in this tempest of times. Even
as many follow the supposed life of the lights, I
hold my ground. Ultimate
poetry, Only
He, can raise us to life in the lights. © 2011 Gilbert SaintAuthor's Note
