Breast cancer Awareness Week!

Breast cancer Awareness Week!

A Poem by Benita-Staebell M - KindredPoet
"

We salute you our pink warriors fighting cancer! written for breast cancer week and to Honor them written Oct. 9, 2014

"

Wearing the color

of strong fighters,

Pink breast cancer

awareness week.

Beautiful red

hearts fighting warriors

of cancer.

We notice the grandmas Mothers

Mother in laws Aunts everyone

that has survived this disease and

that has died.

Our hero's in pink

warriors of life.

Breast cancer awareness

week we notice  all on

this day fighting and that

has conquered this disease.

Our pink hero's warriors

of life hold up your swords

and slay this ugly beast.

Spread your wings and fly

to the spirit in the sky if the

pain is too much to bare,

Only when you're called

home to the Father till then

fight.

Yell out and be a voice

for our younger generations and

all ages.

Be angels for the young scared

girl and always wrap them in

your arms father,

Only you can kick this

ugliness that tries to push

many down but we end up being

stronger in the end.

So be someone's hero be their

angel so they have that courage

to stand tall because we can fight this

war.

Their beautiful is their

strength you give them LORD.

Stand victorious in the

LORD glorify him in your pain.

Benita, my grandma (my mom's mom) is, a breast cancer survivor. But, not all victims of breast cancer, are female, as it can strike men, as well. Something, people don't realize this tragic fact. Myself, I face this risk, given my daily intake of estrogen, as part of my HRT program.

You might want to capitalize "father" in this line: "your arms father", if you are referring Father, as God. Thank you, Benita, for drawing attention to this very important fact, we women need to look after.

Wonderful cause and great lines supporting it. Great rallying cry:
Our pink hero's warriors
of life hold up your swords
and slay this ugly beast.

I had an aunt die from breast cancer too. My mom said she didn't fight, she just gave herself up to God.
To this day I don't know why. But, I know she's in a good place now.
This is beautiful and encouraging. It gives hope to the hopeless amd life to the dead.
I wish my aunt, Susan had read this, she might have stayed to fight.
Anywho, well done!
