You're my hero Son

You're my hero Son

A Poem by Benita-Staebell M - KindredPoet
"

To my son and now seeing our bond grow through the bad and he loves me very much I wouldn't trade this bond for anything thank you god written Sept. 24, 2014 wed.

"

You've stolen my

heart.

When you were born

I knew we'd have a

great bond,

You're my Angel

and you're growing up

and making me proud.

My little Angel that

loves me more than

your daddy does.

Now you see how

he treats me and you

don't like it.

He is slowly pushing

 both us away.

My son I know God

has much in store for  us.

I see that love in your

eyes my son you're a

blessing from God my Angel.

Now it was a point

where I prayed and had to speak

to family,

The next time it happens

he will be in a cold

jail cell.

Where is that man that

was kind friendly

courteous and following

the scout law  he is slowly

falling from it.

But in public ones

don't notice that.

You're my Hero

growing into a loving strong

young man and you're

 so much like your Mother.

God has blessed me

with a hero my son.

Ones see your dad

as so great and grand.

But they don't see

how he is behind the

closed doors.

So when I am asked

how does it feel to be

to be married a eagle scout I say

it has it's bad and good moments.

But now I see that fire in

you that is in me you're tire

of the yelling and blaming.

When I saw that love in you

and I know you're seeing it

isn't my fault any more.

You're my Hero my little Angel

growing up and I see you love me

as a son and more than your daddy.

My little Hero we will get

through this.

I love you my blessing

I got from this marriage

is you my son.

only song I could find to describe my son and
myself Bond that we have and a mother and a Son have
a very strong bond the same as a mother and daughter would
as I know that my brother is also very close to my mom like I am.

I have supported you and when I am sad or hurt
you say sorry and when It wasn't your fault you always
tried to make me laugh give me hugs and make me smile
my son you're a blessing from God my hero is Growing up to
be a sweet Gentleman and family sees I have done a amazing
Job with you as a mother and parent and you know I will always
love you and I am stern but gentle also when disciplining you.

I can relate to this in a way (won't say how though, too personal) but I can relate to an extent, this touched my heart... You words, filled with love for your son. I agree what my Daddy Noodle has said, no one wins in an abusive relationship, that's for sure. Your son is lovely... :-)

Lovely poem...

Kindred Poetess, the key to your happiness is in your hands. No one can hurt you or take your dignity unless you allow it. You have the power to communicate, and you know your husband like no one else. He married you, most probably because there is a love there and there are seeds of respect. So...it is up to you to confront him, be strong, and tell him in no uncertain terms that you do not like the way he's treating you. Be clear as crystal. Tell him you will not put up with it any more, and if he doesn't seek to change the way he's talking to you or handling his anger, then you will take an action he's not going to like. You are half of that relationship, and God has given you the tools to fix it. It will take courage and strength, but He's already given that to you...you must use it. Your strength and your faith will shine through and your son will see that. No one is perfect; everyone should be given a chance to change for the better and encouraged to do so. There is lots of help out there just a telephone call away. Be blessed, my friend.

Hit a fragile nerve, reminds me of my own 'father', you're so right, nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors, and we shouldn't subject our children to the this kind of abuse either...run, run as fast you can Benita...an affecting read, albeit tragically sad.
